Written by Ásgeir Jónsson.

Additions

Marginal notes by Torfæus, especially at the beginning of the codex. On f. 2 his motto: Δει 'έν εν'φημία αποθανειν is found together with his signature.

A few later notations.

Binding

The binding was most likely made c. 1700. Full leather binding with three blind tooled lines along the edges of the boards. The corners and the raised bands are marked with blind tooled lines. Kålund noted the date July 07, 1985 on the pastedown.

F. 1 is an AM-slip. On this Árni Magnússon written: Framanä Saurbladenu stöd med hende Asgeirs Jonsſonar.
